AndyYT316
I guess the Red Sox thread kinda died out since they lost, so I thought I'd start another mlb one. Game 2 of the ALCS should have gone into extra innings because it was a strike out. But oh well. The Angels can come back from that. Go Angels and believe in the rally monkey! Guest Randy S.
I happened to tune in during the 9th inning of that game the other night. I really couldn't care less about the White Sox or Angels, but it looked like a good game so I figured I'd watch. Gotta credit Brzinsky (sp?) for the heads-up play to run down to first. I explained that play to my son this morning at breakfast. Along with a lesson that it never hurts to give a little extra effort. FWIW, I think the Ump made the wrong call, but the catcher should have tagged him just to make sure anyway. Usually they do.

NMU Alpine Boarder
WHITE SOX WHITE SOX WHITE SOX WHITE SOX even though i am a cub fan i hate the angels I agree with this fellow Go Sox Although I do have to stand up for Doug Eddings. It's not because I am a SOx fan, but because I am an umpire when there is no snow.... From behind the plate, you really can't tell whether the ball was caught, or if it hit the dirt... The catcher will almost always block your view on any close call... This begs the question about whether Ed Rapurano (3rd base Blue) signaled to Doug Eddings.... You are taught from Little League on up that the field Blue should help the Home Plate Ump make a call on a 3rd strike.... This has not been an easy week to be a die hard Sox fan.... AndyYT316
Congrats to the White Sox, they won the ALCS. There were some close games in the ALCS, along with some close and controversial calls. I just hope the white sox win the world series, they deserve it.
