Speedzilla
Which parts do I need? http://www.bomberonline.com/store/bindings/parts_td1.cfm I'd like to do this to at least the rear binding to make it a bit easier to get into these bindings. Thanks in advance for the tips!
fin
Speedzilla, If you want to convert an older TD1 to the newer spring loaded bail you will need: One "Spring type" Lug One TD Lug Spring One Sole Block - Spring version One Shoulder Bolt - Long Also, the base plate is a bit narrower under the sole block to clear the spring so you can either "mill" down your current base plate of buy a new one from us. Don't forget, for the money you might also want to just get a "TD1 Retro Kit" as this will convert ONE binding to step-in. By far the ultimate for convenience. More then welcome to drop me a line if you need more help.

fin
Yep, just got the new batch of TD2 springs which is the one you want. We are, however, out of replacment TD1 springs.

So the TD2 spring will work? Just wanted to clarify.
fin
Yep, the TD2 spring is what you want as the Lug will also be for the TD2 but they both work on a TD1 Sole Block. Also, the TD2 spring is about 30% "firmer" for better action

I'm saving pennys for a set of TD2s, but there is no reason to ditch the TD1s, they are bullet-proof.

As I told Fin, Steven Cobb (inventor of Magne-Tracte series of Lib-tech.com and CAD-God of Mervin MFG [Lib Tech, GNU, and Supernatural) made a comment as he was investigating my carbon butterfly race board and those gleamy -polished up- TD2 step-in brought a comment from him "Those are burly!" with a grin. :)
