Guest Tim Tuthill Posted June 8, 2005 Report Share Posted June 8, 2005 Hey guys and gals. Dale Velzy passed away on the 26th of May. He is the one responsible for the board sports you enjoy so much. He was the first commercial builder of surfboards in the early 50'S. He started a multi billion dollar industry. Surfboard, skateboard, windsurfer, snowboard. They all came from the same roots. Go to Google and type in Dale Velzy and read about the man. He was a dear friend. My first real job was working for him.
