Bob W
Was thinking about hitting Sugarloaf for a long weekend (3/18-3/21) and was looking for tips on where to stay, ect. Jack, I know you know the mountain well, any info on the best carving runs. How about better on-site lodging, or is off site better? Thanks for the info. This will be a little anniversary get away for Karen and me.
Jack M
Do yourself a favor and stay on-mountain. They have good package deals, and you can park your car and forget it. If it's just the two of you, check out the Sugarloaf Inn or the Grand Summit Hotel. Best carving runs - anything black or blue that is groomed. My fav's are Spillway, Sluice, Narrow Guage, Competition Hill, Hayburner, Wedge, Gondola Line, Widowmaker/Flume... too many to list really. Or if you're looking for mellow/intermediate stuff, the Bucksaw area is nice and uncrowded. Take a lesson from Erik Beckman while you're there! mirror70
One of the nice parts about staying somewhere on mtn is that it will come with a free group lesson every day you're there.
