ExcelsiorTheFathead
I was thinking recently if some websites that I used as references were to disappear from the internet, so I went looking for ways to create my own backup. I found a tool called HTTrack and made copies of Catek.com and AlpineCarving.com. Both of these together took only 110MB of storage and I zipped them down into an 83MB archive file. Other sites could be extremely large.
ExcelsiorTheFathead
Strange that I wasn't aware of the Wayback Machine at archive.org. The Wayback Machine has good copies of the Carvers Almanac and the Catek site. Here is a link to Hardbooter.com back in 2010.
