I used to go midweek evenings, but it's gotten way too crowded in recent years (even by Wachusett standards). There used to be a pretty good hardboot crowd on Monday and Tuesday nights. If you go at night, here's a hint: get some red blinky lights (the kind cyclists use) because the only people who use them are the safety patrol (aka Slow Police). When people saw me coming with the red lights (and orange jacket helped too), they generally gave me a bit more room. Until I was nearly run over by the real safety patrol. The only time I was ever hit while carving was at Wachusett making some nice turns on Upper Tenth under the lift. It was a spectacular tackle from behind. Luckily nobody was hurt. Arden, Mark, Ed, Todd, Kevin, Alicia, Matt, and myself (Johnathan) There are a few that race on Electric Boat team on Wednesday nights. Brian and Rob. We also have had practice sessions over at Ward hill in the past. the cost for the league racing is roughly $100 for the season, not including lift passes. We typically freeride a little before and after our two timed runs. And we always have a few sodas in the coppertop lounge after. If you want to get in on the action, we are still building teams for Monday night. I don't think you can join with the electric boat team.
