Tongue vs. Powerwrap Liners & which way to wrap?

I'm an occasional hardbooter and have some 223's with tongue style intuition liners from some 32 softboots. My first question is what is the difference in feel between a tongued liner and the wrap around? Also, it seems to me that they should both wrap around the same way since the pressure is applied to both boots about the same on either heel or toeside turns? The preformed liners seem to come asymmetrical, like a ski liner, and all the pics show snowboard boots the same way. Am I over-thinking this or have I come up with a great idea?
