intec heel loose in TD2

just assembled my first alpine set-up, with head stratos pro boots, TD2 bindings, and intec heels (on an old, wide, freeride board - plan to acquire an alpine board soon).

all seemed to go together well, and one boot feels nicely bound to the board, but the other one has excessive play at the heel. the binding is well-connected to the board, and the heel is well-connected to the boot, but there is play in the interface between the TD2 binding and the intec heel.

any suggestions?
