NMU Alpine Boarder
So I was looking at my new Volkl RT and thinking about the topsheet. Basically, it's like a bed-liner from a pick-up. This is the first board I have seen to have a rough topsheet.... Is this something new, or has it been done before?
mirror70
Volkl has that on some of their skis this year. I'm not a fan of it.
skategoat
Sounds like a bad idea. I put a light coat of wax on my topsheet to keep snow from sticking to it. How would you wax a rough topsheet?
Guest Frappe
Is it similar to their skateboard-deck style topsheet on their Team Freestyle board? Or rougher still? The wax sounds like a good idea. How do you work it into a thin enough layer to not look goopy-weird?
mirror70
Use the same carnuba wax that you would on your car.

I haven't seen thier freestyle boards, but yea, the topsheet is like what youi would find on a skateboard.... I was thinking that about the snow too.. It'll just catch on it, and collect... alleast it's black, so i can let it sit in the sun while I am in the chalet.....
