Post your Snowshoe experiences and opinions here!

As many know, Snowshoe (near Cass, West Virginia) probably gets more snow than just about any other Mid-Atlantic (Central East Coast) resort, due to it's high altitude (4K feet—high for the East!).

I've only tried carving there once (and I live in West Virginia!)...and that time was a HORRENDOUS experience. The crowds were worse than Disney World on a summer Saturday (50-minute-long lift lines)...and the slopes (or at least the ones I saw) were lousy for carving (about as wide as a 2-lane road).

We spent about an hour at Snowshoe then bailed to Silver Creek next door, where we had a much better experience. Silver Creek's slopes are much better-suited to carving (based on my experience, anyway)...but Silver Creek was kinda mobbed too.

So I'm curious to hear what other carvers' experiences and opinions of Snowshoe are? (If enough people rave about it, I'll give it another try!)
