Guest OCD Posted November 20, 2004 Report Share Posted November 20, 2004 My big toenail finally came off in the surf today. A punishing weekend in mammoth with bad fitting boots was the cause. I’ve had problems with these boots for as long as I can remember and had tried everything, foot beds, re-heating the liners and tongue modifications just didn’t work. According to fitting guidelines they should be perfect but tell my toe that. I had the shells heated up and expanded around the toe pocket yesterday at Sports Chalet to give me additional room and although I haven’t ridden in them yet they feel really good. For those of you who have had similar problems or any type of discomfort in pressure areas don’t toss your boots away yet.
