MT in mid-Jan 2011

I'm planning to be in MT in mid-Jan 2011 (Jan 9 - 15) though the trip might be a week earlier or later. I'll be visiting a friend in Bozeman and hitting Bridger Bowl and then to see a friend who works at Big Sky and tackle it as well as Moonlight Basin and finally out to Red Lodge in Billings. That should just about do me in but look forward to meeting some other Forum folks out on the slopes.

Thanks for the update. It will be hit or miss if our schedules sync up, but just shoot me an email or give me a call a couple days before you head to Big Sky and we'll see if it works out. In any case, have a fun trip. Snow should be good out this way. Big Sky had the deepest base Thanksgiving weekend since 1996, so a good head start. The mountain (and the coverage) is skiing like it normally does in Jan. We were up Thanksgiving weekend and we are heading up again Dec. 18. We normally don't go up and ski until after Christmas. Good stuff.

Gotcha. I'm still trying to firm up my plans but will now be bringing out a friend so will feel much safer having a riding partner with me at these places for when my friend in Bozeman can't accompany me to the slopes. Tentative plans are now Jan 22-30 but tomorrow it might change again. My friend is actually busy Jan 22-24 with guests so I might start out at Big Sky and Moonlight basin on Jan 22-24 and then head up to Bridger Bowl with him and then out to Red Lodge to see other friends. That should give me the best chance to meet someone as it is a weekend but will keep you posted.
