DiveBomber
Im having a bit of a hard time finding boots for my size 12.5/13 really dont want to pay 500 bucks. I have a pair of old burton reactors, like to try out the step in boots bindings (i have the burton step ins but they arent true step ins)
Guest Randy S.
I'd say either here with Fin or at UPZ Boots with Dan Yoja. I know that Dan had some big boots at the end of last season. If Bomber can't hook you up, I'd contact UPZ. Randy
DiveBomber
Well Im thinking id like to go to step ins does anyone know if those heel kits can adapt to any boot? and or which is better the one with the pin on the binding or the boots? Guest Matt D
Well, I have an 11.5/12 and I'm currently riding Deeluxe Indy's in a 29 shell that might be a little big for me. A 29 or 30 would probably fit you no problem.
DiveBomber
well i was just out at a shop that had some head boots the orange ones, in size 47/12.5/30.5 and i think thats about as small as id like to go, but not for 500 bucks. Unfortunately this was the only pair they had in that size or close
Guest Matt D
hey divebomber, what you need to do is go try those orange boots on again, but without the liner in the boot. If you can fit 1-2 fingers in there thats good. Anymore/less then you need a different shell size. What is important is for you to establish a shell size to look for. With thermoflex liners in the boot you can't really tell much about fit cause when you bake the liner it ends up fitting a lot differently. DiveBomber
actually i did that, and they said something along those lines. Now im not sure How you are supposed to fit 1-2 fingers there, i mean i could sqeeze my fingers back there. But i think 30.5 is right, However i was wearing my thin cycling socks i definately feel 30 is too small.
