Mt Hood Meadows Thursday. Started out with super flat light. Sun came out and it was a great afternoon. Only thing that would have been better is if a few carver friends had been there. Solitary man. Slide show of photos from the day.

(from my FB page)

Ok, so none of your friends show up? What can you do? Photos of my day, video from the chair-lift of my traces in the snow. The light was super flat in the morning. Sun only teased me. Then around noon, WHAM!! Brilliant. It really made the day!! Rode hard and had a blast on my new Coiler "Headhunter" 200cm. (new to me)

LONG version of my "Solitary Man" video. Basically nothing else to do on the chair ride up, except admire the fine line in the snow.

This video was also a test case for a stabilizing software I want to try out. Seems to work pretty good

Nice run! Great lines.. it looks like you were having a bit of fun on that.

Thanks, YES!! It was perhaps the most fun I have had in a while. The sun (visibility) really made all the difference. The snow surface was really good , however, when it was flat light I couldn't read it , there fore I could not ride at a level that gets me STOKED. I wish I had been able to capture someone making turns. No one else was there. Just me. Thanks again. Bryan

It looks like it was a beautiful day! What was the 200cm board like? What is it like to ride a longboard like that?

The sun coming out made all the difference!! The board is not my longest alpine board. This one is sort of a "Tweener" board. For those days where you get 6" or so and there is groomers too. Like today!! First chance to see what it does in fresh snow. It was a blast!!

Today's report is in the Ride Board / PNW / Mt Hood Meadows.

Quite allot of guys here ride longboards. It is a sweet ride. Lots of edge contact, length allows you to stand in the center of the board, huge "Sweet Spot" and speed is seldom an issue!
