pebu
Blah. I went there because some friends were up from Muskegon and wanted to go there. It's got potential, that's for sure, but the day that we were there (sunday) it was cold and windy. I'm a little frustrated with it for things like having drop offs that weren't roped off or anything. I was carving along just fine and my board went off about a 6 inch drop into a river. Couldn't see it at all, just, boom, gone. With a little investment I would think that place could be a fine ski hill. A few trees to protect from wind-whipping the hill, some grooming and decent snowmaking. They could even open some short double blacks off the backside if they just put another lift in. I mean, hell, I love the golf course. They take great care of it. Wish they could make another 9 holes though.
Kurt Swanson
Hey Pebu, I was out there Saturday. Sunny and no wind really helped to offset the cool temps. I'm usually out there most Saturdays. This is my first full season on a hard boot set-up. Still haven't seen any other hardbooters yet, though. I love Caberfae, but would have to agree it has a lot of un-tapped potential.
