lili Posted November 30, 2009 Report Share Posted November 30, 2009 Hi, I was going to put some Intec heels on my Raichles this week. Can anyone tell me if I should worry about tee-nutting the heels on and if it's even possible? When I look at how heels are attached from the the inside of the boot it doesn't seem as secure as a tee-nut would be from what I've seen in all the UPZ threads. But maybe those washer things in the pic serve a similar purpose? Would like to know if anyone else has ever had any concerns. Thanks! fin Posted November 30, 2009 Report Share Posted November 30, 2009 Lili, You are fine, all Raichle/Deeluxe boots after the 100 series all have threaded inserts already in them. This includes your boots. You are good to go! Just make sure the threads are in good shape and after you ride for a day or two I always suggest checking and re tightening the screws as they tend to take a set. The threads are definitely a bit gunked up since they're heels are used and they've been lying around, but I will give them a good look tonight.
