Another Drummer Question

Arclite

Recommended Posts

OK, so here's the deal.

I was changing my snare head and I noticed that one of the lugs wouldn't loosen as easy as the other lugs, and at a certain point, I couldn't loosen it any further. It was enough to get the new head in, but now it wont even tighten up.

Any ideas on how to fix this?

You should be able to buy a new one and change the entire lug assembly from inside the snare. If I remember correctly, mine just screw in through the shell.

Thats my last resort but its looking like my only resort.

well I got the lug out. it's totally stripped. I tried putting a good lug in the socket that it was stuck in, and it seems thats also stripped. so. hmm. I'm gunna try cleaning the socket, and put the lug in. If that works. Great! If it doesn't then I'll have to take off the bottom head and replace the bridge socket.

:barf:

Way too long of a process. Maybe I shouldn't crank my snare so tight :smashfrea

I'm so getting a firecracker snare for my drum and bass licks.

Any drummers looking for a basic 4 cymbal set up?

I have a pair of 14 inch hats, 16 inch crash, and a 20 inch ride that I'm gunna sell. They came with my set, and my dad got me a Sabian B8 super set so I've never touched these cymbals

BRAND NEW NEVER USED!

Pearl CX(?) series

Asking 75 bucks.
