NMU Alpine Boarder
So today I was offered an internship with the Tennessee Smokies baseball team in Kodak, TN... So that means I'll be moving to the Knoxville, TN area sometime in the next month... Realistically, what am I looking at for riding options down in this part of the country? Cataloochee Ski Area seems to be the closest option at about 2 hours away... Another hour gets me up to Sugar Mtn. or Beech... Is it worth the extra 60 minutes? Mellow Yellow
Cat isn't too carve friendly... but it is do-able. Beech is the best carving mountain in NC, however I wouldn't drive the extra hour unless they are 100% open. Don't set your expectations too high :). There is a small group of alpine riders down here, though most go to App....
