oldkey
Have a few Prior Metals and a Kessler. Any issues using a typical ski shop hot box to better set the wax? Thanks much
mr_roboteye
I'm not saying "go ahead and do it" but world cup skis have had metal in them for a long time, and they hotbox the living shiznit out of slalom, GS, SG, DH skis. The metal being on the outside (topsheet) may cause weird stuff, so I guess you'll have to e-mail Hans-Jorg (or Chris) and ask him (them). I suspect they will say it's fine, but it's good ask the guy(s) that built the board. later, Dave R.
SuperBee
Had a brand new Prior WCR Metal a couple years ago ( a 2007 ). I wrote to Prior and asked them if I could put the board in the "Toko Hot Box" and they quickly reply there were no problems doing so. casanovaracing
There is no problem hotboxing metal boards as long as you use the same caution you would on any board, overheat them and the base gets wrecked, torch them and the delaminate. We hot box all the time and have NEVER had any issues. Good luck. Adam Casanova
oldkey
I'm always worried about the "tin can" topsheet on the Metal Priors and have always wondered what exactly was in Hans' boards. I'll call Prior on Monday and send Hans another email as well. But looks like we should be OK.
