  1. still here (in boulder colorado). make an offer.
  2. The super-freak is now available. This is a great 188 made custom for me and used to great success by Tyler Jewel. It is in good shape and an absolute carving dream. It was made for someone in the 200lb range and has tons of life in it still for that weight range. It is 20.5 at the waste (I think) and has a 16m side-cut (probably). I am selling it (with a tear in my eye) to help fund school. E-mail me if you are interested or have questions, I know you will have questions, lots of questions. Please remember that I have homework to do so if you are just curious but not really interested in buying it please don't waste my time. I am happy to ship it on your dollar. 11. Nifty video, it does a great job of showing what you're talking about AND entertaining me, cool. The most likely (100/1 odds) cause of this is simply that your board is too soft, if not overall than definitely between the feet. If you are sentimental and just love the board than I would recommend getting a hold of a VIST plate form Allboard sports in Boulder Colorado or from Hardbooter.com, they both have them and charge about the same. If the $550 or whatever it is (remember the VIST will far outlast your board and is easily moved to a new one) does not sit well than it is time to check out a new deck. I recommend checking out anything you can get you hands on that made with a PROGRESSIVE flex not radial, that is stiffer between the feet getting softer towards tip and tail. Any of the semi-custom builders can do this and if they have any sense at all they will be happy to do it for you. I hope this helps. Adam Casanova
  12. There is no problem hotboxing metal boards as long as you use the same caution you would on any board, overheat them and the base gets wrecked, torch them and the delaminate. We hot box all the time and have NEVER had any issues. Good luck. Adam Casanova
  13. I swear it's not a "call out" Phil, I just know I am not the only curious one out there. Who is on your team and where are they from, not to mention what events are you planning on hitting this year? Oh yeah, welcome to Colorado to both of you, I hope Copper treats you right. Adam
  14. ...I mean the world renown Canadian Mafia, scary, oooooh!
  15. I think they are a Mafia-run organization.
  16. In chuck's Obituary it is stated that he and his family would prefer donations to any of the following in lieu of flowers. This is a painful reminder of the importance of this sort of generosity, so please, anyone who can make a donation in Chuck's name send it to your choice of these organizations. Leukemia and Lymphoma Society Rocky Mountain Chapter 5353 W. Dartmouth Ave., Suite 400 Denver, CO. 80227 The American Lung Association of Colorado 5600 Greenwood Plaza Blvd., Suite 100 Greenwood Village, CO. 80111 The American Heart Association 710 2nd Ave., Suite 900 Seattle, WA. 98104 The Kidney Foundation of Colorado 3151 S. Vaughn Way, Suite 505 Aurora, CO. 80014 I know each one of these groups played a part in the struggle to help our friend. Adam
  17. No words will ever truly express what a great man Chuck was, as everyone who has met him (in person or on-line) will attest he really is one of the finest people our sport will ever know! Phil's story, although typical of Chuck, only scratches the surface of his uncommon approach to adversity, we are all lucky to have had such a roll model. Rest In Peace Friend! Adam Casanova
  18. Sorry guys it sold within the first 30 min. of posting, damn I should have asked for more $. I might know of another one so keep an eye out on the classifieds here. To be fair I will not take pre-posting offers (plus it isn't even my board, thats why I don't know if it is available).
  19. Tomahawk 185 GS $250 great board near perfect condition one of very few with a six hole pattern. The atomic skis are also for sale for $350 they are last years race stock gs 181 with bindings also in near perfect condition. You pay shipping on either. E-mail me at casanovaracing@hotmail.com or call (303) 550-2422
  20. I have one Tomahawk 185, 20 cm at waiste, 15.5 radias, and incredibly rare six pack insert, stiff flex for 200lb person. It is a couple years old but still an incredible GS board in great shape $400.00 +shipping I also have a Simms Burner 188 that I have not ridden in a few years. It is the green model which was the last year they were made. It is in good shape but I did race on it and had to add a set of inserts behind the last stock ones (in my humble opinion this is an up-grade) They were done before I ever rode the board and they never gave me any trouble. This is a saught after board so the price is also $400+shipping I also have a liberation (AKA B.S.) 185 I don't remember it's dementions but they are similar to the Simms. It has only been ridden a couple times, I never loved the flex pattern, it is a bit stiff in the tail but it still rides well and has a really cool blue swirl topsheet, $150+shipping. Please call me at (303) 550-2422 or e-mail me at casanovaracing@hotmail.com Adam Casanova
  21. Just a heads up guys but the vast majority of racers on the world cup DO NOT ride old burtons, they have a poor flex pattern and break quite easilly. Racers often don't change the stuff that has worked in the past for them even if the new stuff is light years beyond their old junk. The Deeluxe, UPZ, and even Head boots are much better boots and should not be dismised becasue a handful of fast guys are on some old boot. This goes for all the equipment with the exception of boards (that's a longer story and I gotta go help set the race). Best thing to look at is what most the racers have done to their boots to make them work, none are stock!
  22. I can assure anyone interested in the tommy that the holes are dead on for the sweet spot of the board and as far as stance goes it is going to be about 19 and1/2 inches. If it fits you you will not be disapointed.
  23. Sorry Phil but you got it backwards (I know it was on the USSA site but it's wrong) Mon the 3rd is PSL and Tue the 4th is PGS. That is what was on the registration forms but somehow it got reversed on the site, again sorry I hope this does not negitively effect ayone. Adam Casanova
