Dave ESPI
damn... i definitely want to go. but dont know if i'll be able to ride yet... i just sprained my ankle Sunday. it's gruesome. 2 weeks away... hmm. sprains are tricky, just take it easy on it. Noone says we have to be railing like a midnight freight train out on the first day of the season ... LOL. LMK, I still have yer # from last year. cail
doubt i'll be able to ride that weekend, my ankle is still SOL (grade 2 sprain.. doubtfully grade 3). i'm going to be going to Atlantic City that night anyway. depending on recovery, i'm hoping to hit the slopes by december. JoeK.inVt
Not much open this early, maybe Killington McMountain or Mt. Snow. Here at Okemo, opening day will be on the 22nd. Stratton should be the same or the following week.
Dave ESPI
CANCELED. Mother Nature is not playing fair. 58 degrees and RAIN RAIN RAIN. next week though it looks better for snowmaking. Hopefully THanksgiving weekend will be my first weekend on snow now. Argh. At this rate I will have to go west for any sort of snow worth riding if the trend of crappy weather keeps up.
JoeK.inVt
The warm weather is over, cold temps are here, and the snowmakers will not be wasting any time. My guess is that nearly every mountain in Vt (maybe all of northern new england) will be open this weekend(22nd,23rd). Judging from the local 10 day forecast the guns will be running day & night for at least that long. Alot of snow can be made in that amount of time. Dave ESPI
Ya 20's to 30's helps everyone. Saddly I fear I'll be STUCK @ Jiminy in absolute crap for "returning instructor training" rather than riding freshies in VT for a while.... argh/
JoeK.inVt
We have a lot of lifts to to get up and running as well as training newbie operators. It will be a little while before I get any real riding in. :freak3: :freak3: :freak3:  < Newbie operators
