gdboytyler
This could be the last weekend for Snow Summit. After Sunday, it will be day to day. If my new metal Coiler shows up on Friday as scheduled, I'll be at SS on Sunday. Anybody else?

I recommend NOT riding a brand new board in these late season conditions. I know you know that, it's just sometimes lust gets in the way of judgement. 3 big gouges in the base a couple of days ago without even trying -just a heads up. KingCrimson
I second that, my Speed had a literally flawless base. Now, not so much. Too bad that powersaving hour isn't coming up, I could use p-tex candles as my light..
gdboytyler
I know you know that, it's just sometimes lust gets in the way of judgement. It's BEYOND lust!! I'll bring a few boards. If it's looking too thin from the bottom, I'll wait for a Mammoth trip to try out the new board. Besides, I'll only ride the new board early while the snow is hard and switch to the freestyle setup when it starts to soften.
gdboytyler
I got my Coiler Schtubby, right on schedule:biggthump However, because of the hot weather forecasted for the weekend, I'm aborting the SS trip. Instead, I'm planning a Mammoth trip for the weekend of 4-18 to try out the new board. Carvingchef, check your email and give me a call. Thumper
I was at Summit this morning (Fri.). Very firm and fast at 0820 and full on slush by 1030. How long is the Schtubby?
gdboytyler
I got the standard Schtubby, 171 cm long, 20 cm wide, with 13.2m scr.
KingCrimson
Last week, Baldy held up until noon. Heading there tomorrow, hopefully it will hold at least to 11. My dad gets real frustrated in slush too, so we don't last much longer than the snow.
