Mammoth 4/16-4/21

I just got back last friday. It was hot and wet, but stayed partly cloudy both days I was there so the thaw was inconsistent.

the area around 15 was getting pretty bare, and down at the bottom was puddles. Coverage was still really good elsewhere.

who knows..maybe a big ol spring storm will roll in for ya!

Just got back from Mammoth last night>what a drive! It was typical spring stuff, hard early and getting soft fast. An hour window to carve maybe. We would stay in the lower areas..it seemed to stay together longer and then hit the park and pretty much stay there all day. You'll have a fun trip if you don't expect too much.

Thanks for the heads-up guys!

If anyone is going to be up there during that time, I'll be on a Nidecker 183 GS (black) or a 161 SL (Yellow), dark green pants, beige jacket, black helmet. Be fun to hook up with some local riders. Regards

Kirk

cool and hard today. forecast is for snow but only wind so far. snow level should drop to 6000 for the weekend. may be a bit bullet proof if no snow comes...
