Guest RC51Stunna
My gf Cristina is going to have her first carving board setup soon, and I want her to receive some solid instruction to help ensure a successful transition from soft to hard bootin.. It would be great if there was a female rider who could help her out and go ride with her as she is very petite and im sure that technique is a bit different for different body types. If there is anyone available to help out with this let me know RC51Stunna@mac.com Thanks in advance.
AaronG
That is going to be a tough find in Southern Cal. In all my years of riding here I have yet to see a female carver who is capable of giving instruction. For that matter, it is tough to find carving instructors, period. The only thing i can recommend is to hook up with some of the carvers here on BOL, there are a few who are very competent and who would be willing to help her out. There are a few carvers on this site that ride at Big Bear often, not so much Mtn High. If you want to contact me about this, send me an email through BOL. Aaron Where are you from?? I see that you ride at Welch Village which is in MN but are posting in the SoCal section. Just curious.
gdboytyler
A friend of mine is an instructor at Snow Summit in Big Bear. He's an excellent carver on both snowboard and skis. I sent him your email address. If he's got time in his schedule he'll email you. Keep an eye out for an email from Jim W. I don't know what his rates are. It will be a few more weeks before its all ready to go, but after that shell be ready to carve. I look forward to hearing from him, thanks again Jason J. Guest RC51Stunna
Yes, the GF lives in socal and I currently live in Minnesota. She will be riding in socal for now, and we will be going to Lutsen MN near the end of march. Hopefully after a proper lesson or two she may be able to ride with some local hardbooters. This is super helpful guys, thanks again! JJ That is going to be a tough find in Southern Cal. In all my years of riding here I have yet to see a female carver who is capable of giving instruction.
