The fresh snow just keeps piling up. Check out all the sweet snow! New snow here is as of Tuesday morning, storm totals since Saturday night. Here are some highlights for this week (all the details below): Sandia Peak has a great weekday lift ticket deal... Taos has a NCAA race... Durango Mountain has the 'red ball' race for charity with a chance for you to win big cash and they also have a startlight snowhoe tour.... Wolf Creek has a tele clinic and Local Appreciation Day on Sunday and the pass from the Pagosa side is closed (South Fork side is open)... Telluride has the Subaru open and a local's telemark clinic. Santa Fe: 7 New. 17 Storm. 17 New This Week. 74 Inch Base. 67/67 runs open (100% of the mountain). 7/7 lifts. 24 runs groomed each night. P/PP/MG surface.

Taos Ski Valley: 11 New. 27 Storm. 27 New This Week. 108 Inch Base. 110/110 trails. 12/12 lifts. 31 runs groomed. P/PP/MG surface. The Ridge is open from Katchina Peak to Wonder Bowl. The Nastar course is open nowand the Out-To-Launch Terrain Park is open as well. Taos Ski Valley management has announced they are opening the mountain up to snowboarding beginning March 19th onward. All of the mountain will be available to snowboarders with no trail or area restrictions. More information is available at http://ridetaos.org/. This Thursday and Fri there is an NCAA race.

Angel Fire: 7 New. 17 Storm. 17 New This Week. 50 Inch Base. 72/76 runs open (91% of the mountain). 6/6 Lifts. P/PP/MG surface. 22 runs groomed. Polar Coaster Tubing Hill open. Lowrider and Liberation freestyle parks now open and the half pipe is open for the season but is closed for maintenance right now.

Pajarito: 10 New. 11 Storm. 11 New This Week. 52 Inch Base. 0/6 lifts open. 0/40 trails. 0 runs groomed. The Townsight lift and the terrain under it is open on Saturday and Sundays. Ski area is open Friday through Sunday and major holidays. The Los Alamos Ski Racing Club (LASRC) is presenting a Locals Race Series (Giant Slalom on Aspen). The next races will be on Sunday February 17, and Saturday March 15. Start times for the first and second runs on each race day will be 10:00 am and 1:00 pm respectively. Awards will be at 4:00 pm. Registration is $15 and starts at 8:00 am in the Pajarito Lodge. The races are open to skiers age 6 and up, with categories J1-J5 and adults.

Red River: 8 New. 14 Storm. 14 New This Week. 55 Inch Base. 48/56 Runs Open. 6/7 Lifts. Silver Chair operates on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Ski Apache: 0 New. 0 Storm. 0 New This Week. 18 Inch Base. 8/11 lifts. 80% of the mountain open. HP surface. All terrain parks open now as well. The chairlift #8 area is now open along with the trails in the Elk Ridge Quad line.

Enchanted Forest XC: 12 New. 15 Storm. 15 New This Week. 35 Inch Base. 35/35 trails open.

Valles Caldera National Preserve: 14 Inch base. Open Saturdays and Sundays 9am-4pm.

Durango Mountain Resort (Purgatory): 12 New. 39 Storm. 39 New This Week. 90 Inch Base. 9/11 Lifts. 84/85 trails. 27 trails groomed. P/PP/MG surface. Purg's Pitchfork Terrain Park is now open for the season, boasting a 260 foot long halfpipe, 3 rollers, a sweet medium jump, culverts, rails, boxes and everything else you need to quench your thirst for big-air. The Paradise Freestyle Arena is now open as well for advanced riders! The tubing hill is open, from 2-7pm on Fridays and Saturdays. This Saturday, Durango Rotary and Wells Fargo raise money for local non-profits Saturday, February 9th, as a herd of red exercise balls race down the mountain for big cash prizes. Sponsor as many balls as you like at $5 apiece and you can win as much as $5000.00. You can adopt a ball at Guest Services in Purgatory Village or online at durangoredball.com. Also this Saturday, there is a starlight snowshoe tour. Meet at the Guest Services Kiosk at 3:30 and take the last chair of the day up the mountain. Watch the sun set and the stars rise, enjoy a wine and cheese party at the Powderhouse then hike down with your guide. Package includes lift ride, snowshoe rental and wine and cheese party. Wolf Creek: 24 New. 75 Storm. 75 New This Week. 171-211 Inch Base. 77/77 trails. 7/7 lifts open. Alberta Peak, the Waterfall area, Montezuma Bowl, Knife Ridge and Horeshoe Bowl all open. Also, the families of Michael George and Kyle Kerschen, both 27 of Albuquerque, ask that you keep your eyes open in the Wolf Creek area for any signs of the two snowboarders lost since Jan. 4. If you see anything that could help in the search, let a ski patroller know. Wolf Creek Pass between Pagosa and the ski area is closed. The ski area is open and you can approach from the South Fork side. For updates on road conditions including Wolf Creek Pass between Pagosa and the ski area, contact the Colorado State Patrol at 877-315-7623 or visit www.cotrip.org. This Sunday, Feb. 10, there is a telemark Clinic, Lincoln's Day Race, and Local Appreciation Day, $27 lift tickets for everyone.

Silverton Mountain: NR New. 16 Storm. 16 New This Week. 122 Inch Base. Silverton Mountain will be open Thursday through Sunday of this week for guided skiing and riding.

Telluride Resort: 5 New. 13 Storm. 13 New This Week. 80 Inch Base. 92/92 trails open. 16/16 lifts. 41 trails groomed. P/PP/MG surface. Hoot Brown Terrain Park is now open. Step into the scene of the main park located on Lower See Forever. Features include a 10' wide hitchin' post, a 12' wide 10' tall wall ride, and a few more surprises. Recently added features include, a 3 feature street setup - a C rail, a down rail, and a C box. The jump line has been tweaked again, resulting in 3 lofty takeoffs on raised decks that give you plenty of time to turn that 7 into a nine. The Lower Air Garden Rail Park is a smooth line of rails including a flat/down rail, a butter pad to down box, a battleship box, a tall flat rail, and a 40' rainbow rail setup on a tabletop. This terrain is for expert park riders only. The Superpipe is now open as well. It's the longest pipe ever in Telluride at 450ft long w/18 ft. walls at a 17 degree pitch. This Wednesday through Saturday there is the Subaru free skiing open and on Saturday there is a local's telmark clinic.
