shin bang!!

Ear dragger

cranking the strap can lead to numb feet, and loss of feeling and sensitivity.

i personally NEVER "crank" anything on my boots. i like ot be able to have them fit snug, without movement through the use of custom made footbeds, heel lifts or wedges, and achilles / ankle pads or cross braces which make for a perfect fit...

perhaps you could redrill the buckles, so they can reach a comfortable yet secure hold down on your shin. you generally do not want space b/w your shin and the tongue of the boot/liner. i have seen neopene pads placed b/w the shinand the liner- not sure ofthe effectiveness..

the addition of a BOOSTER strap may alleviate your condition.

most other "straps" on boots that come from the factory are simply not sufficient, and fall way short of proper hold down.
