newcarver
Looking for a new or lightly used Dynastar or O-Sin 3800 in a 163 length for a good price. Want to get a good pow board for s/b. Looks like these will work well with h/b in pow too. All the better. Zip is 81401 for shipping. Something local would be great. Let me know about cond and price. newcarver
Never mind. Was able to work out a deal with a seller on Ebay to get a new one for the price I wanted. I think he still had 3 more if anybody else was looking. I needed a good powder resort board. Sweet!
Gtanner
I got one last year and love it. I ride it with soft boots and have run it in trees, pow, grooms. It is a more off-piste oriented board since the huge taper makes it harder to finish your turns completely. Anyway, good luck, you'll love it. -Gord
newcarver
Gord, Glad to know I'm getting a good board. How does it compare to something like an Arbor A-frame 162? That is what I have been riding. Love it but wanted something that might float better in pow. I had to set the bindings way back to keep the nose up. Thought that the o-sin might be a lot better in the fluff based on its shape.
Gtanner
I used to run a 163 Burton Republik (comparable to the arbor??? dunno) and have found the 3800 to ride very differently. I still have to set the bindings back a bit for pow though, but not a drastic change. I also found the tail to be pretty stiff so that was slightly unexpected. Still a good ride, but like I said, off-piste oriented, but can still rail. Again I am riding SBs on them, so not sure about how the HB's will work. -Gord
newcarver
This is going to take the place of my A-frame which I ride on snowy days. It has a lot of seasons on it and needs to be hung up on the wall now. Will be using this as a soft boot set up too. Have an AM 160 for h/bs, but the O-sin will be riden in the pow:biggthump
BlueB
You'll love it! It has about 5mm of taper - not exactelly huge. When carving, shift weight back through last half of the turn to finish it, or to load some pop into the board. Try it with h/boots too! Boris, the Dynastar Man ;)
