C5 Golfer
Just wondering -- we have had several good auto discussions but I can't remember anyone chiming in on how great a Rotary motor is. Just curious.. never owned one -- looked at a RX7 model once but couldn't get in the car with my long legs. Corvette experimented with a 4 rotor motor years ago, that would have been something to drive.
powell1.8
I'm 6'4" and I had a 89 Mazda RX-& GTU. I fit well in it. The GTU was a stripped down version, more racing inspired. I loved the car. I don't know about the newer RX-7's or 8's. There is a learning curve on learning to drive them. It just doesn't feel right to rev a motor to 9 grand plus, but they love it. They need the rpm's to make a good amount of power. Add turbos to the tri-rotors and they can make 800+ H.P. My RX-7 was not a tri-rotor, but still very fun to drive.
