Need to decide whether to head for Bachelor or to return Powder Mountain, which I love and where the snow was terrific in 2004 and 2005. But I get the impression Powder Mountain is sketchy this year. Like the the Shuttle Bus isn't operating and Saddle Back is closed. Has anyone been there lately? It is too long a drive from Seattle and then to be bummed out. kmartshopper Posted March 1, 2007 Report Share Posted March 1, 2007 I went to Powder Mtn. this past saturday 24th. Bordy is right about the low base, but everything is riding really nice anyway. Plenty of nice lines. They did have the busses running on saturday at least. I don't know what saddleback is, but the ridge off Paradise (?) was passable with some sketchy spots. Also hostels right on the mountain. Bought a season Pass. Am in Seattle right now for family stuff. Expect to go return to Sivler Star within a couple days.
