shredliner
2/3rds of the way to my first Alpine setup! Still need boots. Been boarding for 16 years, on soft setups. But, I LOVE carving, being a surfer too. I can make a full radius turn on my soft setup and can't wait to try on a hard setup. So, here's my question: if I measured at a 25 for Nordica, is that about the same as a 25 for Mondo? Really enjoy this site too, great advice, thanks! BlueB
Yes, Nordica has pretty acurate mondo points. However, it seems that Raichle/Deeluxe are running their numbers too big...
shredliner
BlueB, u said: "it seems that Raichle/Deeluxe are running their numbers too big..." Meaning, Raichle says a 26, but it's really a 25? Thx.
BlueB
No, other way round, when Raichle tels you boot is 24, your 25 foot will fit into it. Don't go just by Nordicas nos, do the paper test too: Place a piece of paper on the floor, stand barefooted on top of it and draw a pencil contour. Then mesure the contour's length in cm - that's your mondo point.
shredliner
"Then mesure the contour's length in cm - that's your mondo point." I pretty much did that, by stepping on a paper ruler, from heel to big toe. It showed about a 26.5cm, but the Nordica guide had me at a hair under, 25. So, I'm guessing, somewhere between the two is about right. Around here, finding shops with varied measurements, is pretty difficult. Thx.
