mikestrain Posted December 28, 2006 Report Posted December 28, 2006 One of these is for sale in my area. Wondering how this would be for an all-mountain board with hard plate bindings on it. I am 6'3, 215 so thinking it may not be enough board for me, although I still ride my M6 163 so it is in fact longer. Feedback? Thanks! Quote
Strider Posted December 28, 2006 Report Posted December 28, 2006 I haven't ridden a Radon, but I use a Don with plates for my freeride board. The construction on the Atomics is really good, and I've never come close to breaking it becasue of the plates. I do know that the Radon is a bit softer flexing than the Don so I can't really say how it will work in that sense, but I haven't had any complaints about my board. Quote
wavechaser Posted December 29, 2006 Report Posted December 29, 2006 I'm 6'3" and I ride a Radon 164 - but it is strictly my pipe and park with softies board. Probably strong enough construction wise for plates, but you'll over-power the flex pattern, especially at your size. Look for a Volkl Cross 167 if you want a twin tip all-mountain board under 170 to use with plates...awesome bump setup too. Quote
D-Sub Posted December 29, 2006 Report Posted December 29, 2006 and yet another public testimonial for steepwater. sent privately but here again because, well...Klassen's company deserves the business. Quote
