AaronG Posted January 29, 2004 Report Share Posted January 29, 2004 I had friend who stuffed a hi po 350 under the hood of his 240 diesel wagon, he left all the diesel badging on it. Boy, there were a few surprised people aournd the high desert in Southern Cal. We went out to Willow Springs with that wagon and running down the front straight, 140 was being indicated on the speedo. The needle was pegged so I'm sure wee were doing a little better than that. I used a Ford 5.0 in my conversion, reason being, the 5.0 has a twin sump oil pan, fit perfectly over my crossmember and also I only had to cut a 1"X4" oval hole in my firewall to pass the harness throught to the computer.
