  1. Funny thing was I did check their webcam this morning before I left and it was snowing and 27F. So, I thought I'd take a chance!

It was a strange, strange day! Snow overnight, turned to rain, sunny breaks while raining, rainbows and then lightning to close the mountain at 2:20pm! It was crazy seeing ski patrol and employees scurrying around getting people off the mountain!

  2. So, I rode at Bretton Woods on my freshly tuned Donek! First off, it was a winter wonderland up there today, so you'd be hard-pressed not to ride/carve well today! Great day!

I was switching off between my freshly tuned Donek and my Coiler Nirvana Balance that I bought a few years ago! There was nary a difference between my 2 boards today! The Rodgers Ski Shop tune made a huge difference in the way my Donek rides!

Highly recommend Josh at Rodgers! Great tune!

    Jeff,

Has made a few recalcitrant and nasty boards ride properly.

Yeah, I had The Speed Factory in Campton, NH tune my Donek Metal 172 "tincan" a while back and I gotta say it rode somewhat cantankerously ever since! As it turns out, The Speed Factory is now longer in business.

There are 2 shops in my general driving proximities that I will try out or have tried out. I had my cantankerous tincan tuned last Friday at Rodgers in Lincoln, NH. Which they turned it around in a day! I will be riding it tomorrow to see how it rides!

The other shop is in Newbury, NH at/near the base of Mt Sunapee. I will be finding a donor board for them to tune for me to see how they do!

Might help to narrow it down to a general area or particular resort you spend more time at.....

In Cali $65 -$85 was the norm for base and edges set up + wax    A base grind was additional of course.

Well, I live in Southern NH. I ride at Bretton Woods, Ragged Mt. I have friends in the Mid-coast of Maine, and friends in the Burlington, VT area and want to explore southern and central VT ski areas.

So, the I-95 corridor in NH & ME/I-93 corridor in NH/I-89 corridor in NH & VT/I-91 corridor in VT...so Maine, NH and VT! I'm a nomad at times!

I'd like some reviews of the Speed Factory in Campton, NH. And I think there's a shop near Mt Sunapee that might have the equipment to do a good tune.

  5. First day for me was Sunday, 11/18 at Bretton Woods! I was unsure as to how the conditions were going to be so I set up my Donek FC163. I was wishing that I had set up my Coiler NB172 as conditions were good enough to ride it! I hope to get out after Thanksgiving Friday, Saturday and Sunday!

My riding goal/s keep getting harder and harder each passing year! I've always wanted to ride as many days in a season as many years I am old...if that makes any grammatical sense! It was easier to comprehend many, many years ago when I was in my twenties(which I still didn't achieve!)! But now at 51, and with a damn job that eats up too much of my time, it's getting harder to come to fruition! One can dream!

Still working on improving my riding!

Happy Trails and let's hope for a great season!!!! Let it Snow!
