  1. Purchased fall 2005. Size Mondo 25, never used on snow, molded liners once and didn't like the fit. Original box, tool and manual. $200. including UPS shipping to lower 48.
  2. I have thin ankles/ calves (runner's legs-don't tell me to hit the gym- I do). When I close the upper straps the left and right parts of the upper shell are touching one another which makes the boot too stiff. My plan is to cut back/ shorten the left and right side of the cuff so they don't meet. The questions are: 1) What is the best way to cut the shells besides a dremel or roto-zip as I'm afraid the tool will get away from me and travel beyond my scribe/ cut lines and destroy the shell?? 2) Will tin snips work? 3) What is the recommend/optimal/ intended position for the left and right upper cuff on the Lemans when tightened? I see in the advertising pictures where the left and right cuff come to just short of the center of the tongue, but those pictures are not with a foot/ leg in them. Thanks in advance for any advise.
  3. As noted by others, great comaprison Dave. A couple of questions (anyone): 1) If you use the BTS System, isn't it possible to take any of the boots and make them somewhat flex as you desire? For example, I generally want an all mountain boot, more flex, and the Track 225 would probably be the best boot for that purpose, but I also want what I consider to be a stronger boot/ shell, the Track 325, not to mention I like the black/ red colors better. Could I put a BTS system on it and make it flex similar to the Track 225? 2)Using a comparison of one boot vs. another based on shell material and design: The Head Stratos Pro is noted as being stiffer than the Suzuka, but not as much as the Indy. I would guess that the plastic specs. (shore & elasticity) on the Head must be such that they are similar to the Indy, but because it has, what I would consider, a symmetric design like the Track (SB) series it is not as stiff as the Indy. If this is true, and I don't know if it is, wouldn't that make the Track 325 stiffer than the Suzuka? Also, Dave, another nice comparison might be a recommended rider weight range for each of the boots as it relates to the ability to flex the boots. Bomber has general information of this nature on their store site for the current models, but not for the new Tracks.
  4. FYI: it turns out that D-sub was in fact the 1st to inquire and the 1st to offer to buy. If it falls through I will let you know. Thanks
  5. D-sub has made an offer and I have accepted so unless something falls through the boots are off the market. Thanks to all who were interested.
  6. 2005/2006 (bought December 05 for $380.) Black Head Stratos Pro mondo size 26. Used them 10 times and can't get the fit right for my narrow feet. Original box, manual, tool, (2) sets of tongues and (2) sets of heels (never used the stiff race heels or race tongues). Some scuffs on the boots and some nicks on the buckles, but overall in very good shape. $150. + buyer pays shipping via UPS
  7. Fin, A couple of questions: Are those moldable liners in the Track 325? If so, are they like the NT or the speed liner? How about taking preorders (deposit) on the Tracks and or some of the other products you are out of until next season like the BTS? May help you forecast how much product you should stock/ produce. What say you?
  8. $270 + shipping. I bought these in October 05 and received them late November 05 when the 05/06's came in. Molded the liners (once/ 5 times remaining). I don't like the fit with my large arch custom footbeds (Boot too small ). Never ridden, original box, paperwork, tool, booklet.
  9. Right on NMU. Southside born and bred also. My brother and I would walk 3 miles to the games and sneak into Comisky when we were kids. So now it is 50-2
  10. <HR style="COLOR: #3399ff" SIZE=1><!-- / icon and title --><!-- message --> Thanks to all for the help on HPD liner issue with my MGX Burtons and especially bobdea & Bordy. You guys are right I should just get new boots instead of messing around with liners for these boots and maybe showing your replys about safety to my wife will convince her too. On the topic of new boots, I don't like the zip tie/ buckle approach on the Raichle. I like buckles which allow you to easily repeat your favorite settings. How are the UPZ? I like to go everywhere on the mountain (especially bumps believe it or not), but I fear they may be too stiff. I read somewhere that they are between the Suzuka and the Indy in terms of stiffness.
  11. I want to replace the liners in my Burton MGX Hard boots with the Thermoflex HPD liner. My foot is a mondo 26-26.5. The current liners are tagged as US 8 which is mondo 26.5. The problem is the shell is tagged inside as US 8-9.5. I understand from other forums that most boot makers make a shell to cover a range of sizes and pad the outside of the liner for a particular size. I have measured the inside of the shell and it is mondo 28 which corresponds with the US size 9.5 stamped inside. My question is how do I fill that space in the shell so the HPD liner doesn't 'pack out' into that extra space just like my current liners have?
