I would consider myself an above-average carver. I have the privilege of riding with some former racers and coaches which has helped me to define my style and ability. I do like to push it when I ride, but ultimately I used this board when I wanted a more relaxed day on the hill or was headed onto some super steep black runs. I ride my Virus or JJA Cypress when I feel like getting a workout.
At 185lbs, I think you would be fine. With the variable sidecut, a slight shift in body position has a dramatic effect on the way the board turns. You can shift, rather than having to drive hard, to change the turn shape.
