So back when I purchased this board I sked Bruce "If someone asks what model Coiler this board is what should I tell them?"
Here is his reply:
Just say its the best one!
It is actually a custom template done for the metal construction as the rounded tail gives the boards a bit more lateral stiffness across the tail. It is based on a 180 Racecarve but had the contact length shortened to 159cms from 162. So it really is a 180 metal racecarve
180 x 18.8 x 11.5m x 3mm taper, 159 contact. Quite turny as you will soon find out(-:

I just busted my Arch strap on my Indy boots yesterday and with Bomber in Aspen I am seeing if anyone has anything I can get asap. Also looking for a pair of toe pads to match.

If works goes as planned I will be there. Tony said he is coming to (skier).

Hey cafe. Yes I met John - it seems good people run in your family. Hope you're doing well.
I hit north today before work but had to leave by 9:15, great conditions.
Bellayre sounds great but Fridays are tough for me w work. If I can, I will go, but it will most likely be a last minute decision based on how busy work is.
Keep us in the loop Erik. Not that I don't wish a slow Friday at work......I'm just saying.

Creek has been pretty damn good this week. Mon 1/21 was scraped off boilerplate, rocks everywhere. Within 3 days the whole mountain has been transformed. Lots of new snow, groomed well. Its has been a good week.
Have not been to South yet, can't wait to destroy the groom in the terrain park.
Erik!!! what's up?? Heard you rode with my nephew the othe day. Still folding up that 158 Madd huh? You ain't lying - the snow has been hero. Jtslalom, Dave and I sliced up South today. Give me a shout when your coming out again. Be good to get in some turns with you.
On another note - We have a trip to Bellayre planned for this coming Fri. Let us know if you can make it. Jt started a thread on it.
-
Always a pleasure JT - Nice to ride with you Grobm - I'm sure we will hook up again soon.
Happy New Year!

JT - I was on the lift at south the other day with this young punk, he was bragging how he spit a loogey on some old guy........
...I lifted the bar and pushed him off - one up for the old guys
Erik - can't beleive we haven't ran into eachother all year. We usually get to make some turns once a year.
I am back from Utah and was ready to goto Hunter today and I went to the Dr got some stitches in my shoulder yesterday and Doc said NO WAY....Can't pull anything for the weekend either. I will be out next week. Just not sure how Creek is gonna be for Presidents weekend. May hit hunter instead.
I had just gotten back from Utah and work was the priority, sorry I couldn't make Weds filmfest.....Sugar is a nice spot. Great video.
sic t 2 - post #4 is def one of my favorite spots.....I like to carve up into cab and then immediately roll over to a heelside carve with the board up the mountain, trenching it on the way down (nothing better than defeating gravity!)
Carvingbassists - unreal we haven't ridden together.
ECES - who's in?? gonna be a great couple days!!! I'm syked!
-
Sorry I missed you tonight JT, give us an update when you return tonight if possible.
I will be at North tomorrow (Friday) from open till about 3pm or so, depending on the conditions.
Also planning first chair both Saturday and Sunday (the wife will be keeping me company >Utah in 2 weeks:biggthump< get those legs in shape :D
Sic t 2 - if you will be there make sure to keep an eye out, I'll be passing off some pointers to my nephew....he is a newbie:lurk:

Does anyone know where I can purchase the heel mustache for my liners to assist in keeping my heel down?
-
Jesse - me and my nephew are planning on hitting eces this year...not sure how many days but we will for sure show up. Planning to toss in a few road trips this year. Hunter, Bellearye, maybe peak. the way things are looking may have to drive to find some snow. I'll be in Utah with the wife from Feb 3rd to the 10th. As we get closer to Eces we can touch base. Hoping to make it up to Blue before then.
Chubz - sad to hear you won't be getting your usual riding time this year. Blue will not be the same without you - I'm sure. Maybe you can brush off the dust and come out to Eces.
I wish the season would start already = this blows!!
-
60 degrees!!!
Ain't this a biotch!!!
-
26 it is
Thanks for the input - much apreesh!!
how about using the same size as the old linerthat would make the most sense.....if the liner actually had a size on it.
-
Let's ride!!!
I'm itchy!!!

I need to purchase new thermoliners for my Deeluxe Indys
The moundo size on the boot shell is 26.5
Thermo liners do not come in 1/2 sizes.
Is it better to go up or down
26 or 27?
I still have the liner that came with the boot. It has been molded 6 times. The fit has always been perfect. Now all packed out.
Thanks

Bruce definitely knows what he is doing. I used to ride 4-5 different boards from different companies, each board for a certain condition. Once I jumped on this Coiler I was able to use it in all condition. Great design!
Coiler sold!
Boots still for sale.
