  1. Ok, thanks Bryan. I guess I got a little ahead of myself, don't know why I fixated on the Boiler Plate. I think the label 'Skidder' on my profile isn't exactly accurate, and I'm not sure how it got there. I've actually been working on my turns for years, my first season was '88, and I feel like I'm a pretty good carver. It's all I really do since I'm not interested in park features, big air, or riding fakey. Can you tell me if the Rosi R159 is a decent board to start hardbooting on?
  2. Hello. I recently bought a board like the one pictured on the right, the R159. I got it on Craigslist for $100. I'm new to hardbooting and have demoed several different pairs of ski boots to ride it in, including AT boots. I'm wondering if you can tell me a little about that board. Is it more of a freecarve shape or more of a racing shape? Will it be a good board to get started freecarving, or should I break down and get a more modern all mountain freecarve board? My main interest is surf style carving and powder. Since I've had a chance to ride the R159, and although I'm sure the boot/binding setup is far from dialed in, I have really been enjoying the stability and speed. I just read about the Bomber Boiler Plate and wonder if that be a good addition to the R159, as a sort-of-cheap way to get a good freecarve setup. Any feedback you can offer would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!! Morgan.
