  1. Great to see all you hooligans again! Feels good to be back. See you on Saturday and/or Sunday at Carvin Marvin's bash.

Glad you are okay, Bigs. That was a gnarly crash.

  2. Arne and I rode softboots on Wednesday- really nice easy riding powder. It was like the Loveland of old (probably due to 70 being a mess- sorry JohnE). Virtually no one was there. Upper Richards treeline was amazing. Happy to be back on snow again.

  3. Corey- I hope you got to Lovey- I saw just now that Cdot started avalanche mitigation a little bit before Loveland at around 830 this morning. Have fun if you are there. It should not be crowded especially with the Interstate closed. Cheers.

I have tried so many set ups with lift and cant but it seems like I don’t like any canting but just toe and heel lift. I do have canting on my boots as I had pressure point.

Same! That is because we are twins, Yasu!

  5. The F2s are just easier to correct on,  especially if you race because you get a nice lateral flex. Just be sure to check them a lot, the tnuts can loosen, and they do break after a few seasons.  Even small me has broken the bails in training. Be sure to replace them around 100 to 150 days. You can try the SG bindings too. Evidently the SGs are a bit sturdier than the F2s (not like the Bombers where you are pretty much completely locked with no forgiveness), but I have not tried them. Yamifumi can chime in on that.

I used to ride the 6/ 3 set up on Bombers. The f2s will come with a large block, so use that as the 6 and stack for the 3s. You'll figure it out when you get them.  Don't be afraid to get the Kesslers; they are rebranded F2s.

    Hi JNG,

I don't have any personal tales, but I do have a 10 year old who asked if he could give carving a go.  I saw at Camelback in PA that they have a serious racing program filled with little kids on carving boards.  Their coach might bed a good resource as I know that his son and two daughters race and ride on hard boots.

    Marian Dziak is his name.

Heading to lovey tomorrow for some snow and wind soft boot carving. LMK if you will be there

Good to see you today,  Arne. I was only up on 9 one run.  The viz was so bad that patrol rolled their sled off the top. Patrol Bowl was rough,  but the Headwall 4 was awesome almost worth another trip up.

  8. Nice day at Cooper! Friendly workers,  great snow, and no one stepping on your equipment in lift lines all made up for the slow lifts and lack of vert.  It was nice getting away from the masses, and I believe today was a "busy" day there. Odd Job, Erezzabelle plus one, Yasu,  Mr. Positive, and I journeyed over on one of our 3 freebies off the Loveland pass. Quite a few got their first introduction to the Poma lift. Smiles were written across everyone's faces when we were done for the day around 3pm, and we'll be taking advantage of 2 more days off the Loveland pass for sure.

    Yasu should jump on this.

Not a good idea for Jwan unless he's going to ride a plate.

  10. He got on the phone with RR and picked up 2 more wannabe BBS. They should do well.

Complete shit show of a day that has left a bad taste in my mouth about our once beloved mountain.  Things have really changed there this past year from the level of service to the attitudes of some of the staff. I know they are having problems getting the place fully staffed, so maybe that's a part of it.

    RIP BBS 😞
