  1. Hiya,

Been a long time user of these bindings and only recently learned some of the differences between them. The pair that l have only has a thin sheet of rubber under the binding, not the removable bumpers which come in a variety of hardnesses.

As there are several of these bindings for sale on here and through various auction/sale sites, l was wondering if there was really any difference in feel or use when on the snow. l have never ridden the "bumpered" newer plates so would appreciate any feedback from those who have ridden them both... and noticed any, or no benefit between the two.

    Thanks!

  2. Hiya Randy (^_^)

At 230lbs you're a big dude! l don't think you'd have any problem at all flexing an RC10. l'm 170lbs and with the red tongues l can squish this boot regardless of whether or not l am in free flex or "locked in". The spring at the back is adjustable as well so you really can fine tune it. Don't let the race pedigree fool you... the forward flex is still much more forgiving than a ski boot, however the lateral flex is approaching ski boot stiffness. lf you're pairing up with TD3 SW's even the lateral stiffness will be subdued. l have a Kessler too with RC10's and SW's and l am wanting for nothing, except snow.

Personally l think you'll find the ATB's too soft for you. lt's easier to soften up an RC10 than to stiffen up an ATB. With the red tongues l am sure you'll get all the flex you need PLUS the support... and if you find yourself needing more, just pop the standard black tongues back on, or just put one on the front foot. l may try that next season.

  3. Hiya Roy!!

Yeah... this is our summer hobby... but that guy is ranked 11th nationally. We're not even in the top 30 in our province :o

It takes years and years to get that good... kind of like snow carving.

Mind you, Kaoru beat me 4 out of 6 races last year and she doesn't even have her license...LOL!

2-1 for me so far this year. However she'll no doubt get her revenge at the next one (^_^)

  4. Board JUST arrived!

lt's as described.... very good condition and ready to rip. The season is all but done here so l'm just going to admire it until next winter. Being Canadian, the graphics are.. well... appropriate (^_^)

    Thanks Joe!

  5. +1 on the stock liners.

Bought my RC10's new in Dec '10. They were comfortable out of the box and have just continued to become more comfy. The gel pockets take a little time to mold to your foot... give them that time and you will be rewarded. l have worn my boots down to -25 celsius with no problems at all.

Also... just for ease of entry/exit... unlock the rear mechanism before doing either and your foot will slide in/out with minimum effort.
