  1. Had a blast yesterday! Great crew and solid weather, even if it was a bit cold. I love riding with you all. Missed ya Big, feel better. Nice to meet you Greenie, come ride again soon.

I'll be in Steamboat next weekend. Hopefully I'll catch up the following week, 4/3.

  2. I made it up both Sat and Sun! I was riding with a friend from college all weekend.

The snow was absolutely outstanding. Luv got around 12in of new snow Friday night. Saturday was easily the best day of my season. Enormous heaps of light, fluffy snow everywhere. We were absolutely swimming in it. We spent most of the morning on 8 surfing wide untouched lanes in a sea of white, and floating through the trees. 9 opened later and then we blasted down the bowls, slashing through the drifts that were knee deep. If you took a tumble, everything was made of pillows. The energy on the mountain Saturday was invigorating. Every where you went, people were whooping and yipping with glee.

If Sat had the best snow, Sun was the most fun. Luv got yet another 5in overnight again and filled in the tracks from the day before. My buddy and I went up again, this time with another friend and the three of us did it all over again. We went at it until our legs were jello and they closed the lifts. The Moss delivered yet again. I adore how that board handles in powder.

Looking forward to riding again next weekend. I'll be there Sunday and possibly Sat too. See y'all there!  -FNG

FNG, aka J49 was tailgunning me down turtle creek when I managed to find some uber soft, about a 6 on the MES scale, and butt braked to a stop on a rippin' healy.  Fun times.

haha, i'm riding behind you and it was like all of a sudden you dropped down and disappeared into a hole!

Moved on to 6, and  aboso****inglutely tore up roulette.  Ink, J, and I left some nasty trenches into the lift chicane without any remorse.

So so good. Can't wait to get out and trench again this weekend!

  5. POWDER.

Weather called for ~2in Sunday night, but Luv got more like ~7in with snow drifting higher in places. On Monday, I took the Moss out for a powder day and it did not disappoint. The wide nose and fish tail make you feel like you are surfing on a cloud. To top it off, the Moss' base is wicked fast. I zoomed past many a rider who'd sunk and was swimming their way out of the pillows. Phenomenal board, highly recommended.

Surprisingly, it was not very crowded either. Got 2nd chair on lift 8 and made beautiful surfy turns all day there until legs turned to jelly. Unfortunately, no photos. Too busy making friends and slashing big piles of fluffy goodness.

  6. Hi, is anyone able to comment on differences between 100, 120, 130 flex? Seems like it can be tricky to find a place to compare them side-by-side. Thoughts on what would be a good fit for an intermediate ~155lb rider? Recreational carving, not racing. Coming from deeluxe 325 and looking for stiffer, better heel hold. Thanks!

  7. Hello friends, welcome back for another winter; the best season of all. Luvy is open for the season and turns have already been made. I made it out on the first Sunday open along with several other folks mentioned above. Snow was meh. Loose and not groomed, it piled up into big heaps making turns laborious. I still did a few bonus runs after most folks bailed with OddJob before it got too busy to feel safe.

This past weekend I made it out with some old friends from Ohio on Friday. Still only 1 run open, but the snow was hero and the sun was shining. Ran into Odd Job again, but only took 1 run together. He was putting down some deep carves, even on softies. Much less crowded than last weekend. Enough room to link turns until out of breath.

Saturday I got up early and went again while my buddies were still hung-over in bed. Colder today and much firmer than Friday. The groom would send you skittering across like a drop of water on a hot skillet if you lost your edge. More crowded today and pretty tired myself so only a few runs. Still, got some really satisfying turns in. I really, really like the Thirst.

Like Mario, I've been rocking the 8RW these first few days. Love that board. Man, its so much fun to ride. Can't wait for another excellent season with y'all!! I'll be out of town this coming weekend, but I'll catch back up asap. Hopefully coming back to more runs open!   -FNG

    Welcome Justin @J49

As @inkaholicmentioned, most of the LCI crew will be in Montana for the Montucky event, but we are usually at Loveland every Sunday.

Look forward to meeting and riding with you.

    cheers🍻,

    sandy

Ah yes, I heard about MCC. Looks like a blast, I was watching videos from past year's. I won't be able to make it this year.

Hope y'all have a great trip!

    Thanks, you too!

    Right on Justin!

    What setup did you get?

Got a used F2 speedster gts (166cm, 20cm waist, 9.8 sidecut), F2 titanium race bindings, and a pair of track 325 boots.

Boots fit surprisingly well as-is. But I think they could still benefit from another heat mold and/or new liners.

I have binding angles somewhat low (I think) at 50 front, 45 back. Will definitely need to play with the stance.

  10. Hey Loveland crew. I'm new to hardbooting and Ink pointed me towards this forum. Everyone I've talked to has been super chill, so hopefully y'all don't mind me crashing the party. I took the plunge and bought a used setup from another member here. Took it out to Crested Butte this past weekend and I'm totally hooked! It's so much fun to carve on this thing. 😎

Im excited to ride more. I'd love to link up with the Lovey group to practice turns and make some new friends. I'm in Denver so let me know next time you head out (if y'all don't mind a new kid tagging along).
