  1. Im not to be honest. I'm very aware I have alot to learn and work out about that side of it. But a quick google there has given lots of info on that, will help alot in getting sizes right. Iv kinda avoided looking into the boots and bindings as i have no binding to work off or board to mount them. But hopefully I get this board and start getting some research done that refers to something Im holding in my hand. will have to start trolling trademe to see what i can find. But boots are something im willing to buy new so that should widen my options
  2. when it comes to the boots etc for these bindings, I'm not sure what to do but I'm working on the bases of one step at a time and board comes first. And knowing that the season is coming round in a little of 3 weeks, i need to speed up the process. I have seen a odd one of those elusive carvers up on my MtHutt, but iv always been on the chair lift, looking from afar. He was killing it to be fair, made it looked effortless!! Thanks again for the info
  3. Thanks for the replays!! Hi SunSurfer, hopefully I can rub a few shoulders round MtHutt. I should be around there most of this season apart from club days etc. Maybe some night boarding down south. As for weight, I'm about 65kg and the board is about 60mm shorter than me at 1650. So by all accounts this should at least get me up and going??
  4. http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing.aspx?id=1325235185 Hey Boarders New to the forum and hoping for some guidance please. I'm currently living over in New Zealand and wanting to get a bit more into carving. The hard part is that over here, very few people seem to do it so advice is hard to come by and gear is even harder to get. Last season I tried carving on my standard board an loved it. So now i want more!!! But for a cheap have a go budget kinda price. The attached link is the board I'm thinking about buying and having a go on. So the question is, am I barking up the wrong board or is this worth a go just to experience a board like this? (ill search for the boots info after) I do see some other people have talked about this board on here so iv already half made up my mind but I'm better to get advice first Thanks in advance folks Lee
