  1. My larger foot measures 25.6 and I'm wearing 25.

At first it was a tight fit causing my toes to go numb/cold after 3-4 hours. After having the liners heat molded and wearing thinner socks (actually just thin sock liners) my feet are comfortable, warm and cozy. I'm not sure the heat molding actually did anything. If I wear anything thicker than the sock liners, my feet are not happy.

  2. move to Canada! ;) Is it possible for a Canadian to make a proxy server so our American buddies can watch the whole thing on line. ctvolympic.ca is showing the whole thing but i doubt it's available in the US.

I know! Thanks for rubbing it in.

All my non-American friends (from Canada, Europe, and even parts of Asia) enjoy live coverage and even live online streaming.

As far as setting up a proxy, that would be cool. Or something like http://www.slingbox.com/

    Okay... enough ranting.

  3. I heard a rumor that there were gates setup at Ski Ward. I've never been there, but since I work in Marlborough it's quite close for me. I also just started on alpine gear this season.

I'm usually at Wachusett on Tuesdays/Thursdays nights and regularly meet up with 3 or 4 other hardbooters.

  4. Hi all,

This is my first season in hard boots and I ended up purchasing a pair of Head Stratos Pros. The liners are not terribly uncomfortable, but I do feel cramped in the toes. The real problem is that my feet get incredibly cold in these boots.

I'm using the liners which came with the boots as-is. I understand they are "partially" moldable (not sure what that means), but have not had them heat molded.

Should I look into spending more money on Thermo Flex or other customer liners or does anyone think I could get more warmth out of stock liners by taking them to a bootfitter and getting them molded? I'm not too confident in molding them myself, plus I would like to get custom footbeds.

    Thx!
