New vs. old as in the 2004/05 boards vs the 90's or the second production run vs. the first?

It's a leash that doubles as a lock. It's pretty old school. I've had it since my PJ.

What is the benefit of a smaller angle in back? I used to ride at 60/60 but now that so many people have suggested 3-5 less in back, i ride at 60/55...

sheesh. this looks kinda sketchy the whole thing
It certainly can be discussed privately, but in light of the other issues with Madd (delays, no communication, etc...) I thought it was important enough to bring out into the open. Additionally, I'm not flinging insults or blame, just stating the facts of what happened and hoping for an equitable solution. Why should that be kept private? Why should people be kept in the dark? What's wrong with holding this company to normal standards?

Cheri,
Thanks for your response. The backwards graphic is ridiculous. As is the damage done to the base. It does not appear to be from shipping, as the box is intact in that area.
I'm very frustrated that no one contacted me. I sent emails on 11/5 and 11/29 inquiring about my board. You guys had plenty of opportunities to inform me of the issue and let me decide. Telling me earlier would've saved a lot of headaches.
Now I'm faced with shipping my board back (at my expense) and waiting a full month for a replacement? Had you told me earlier, the replacement would be on it's way now. Additionally, you said you decided to ship my board because of the name. I didn't even pick the name, never got the email, so it was randomly assigned.
This solution is unacceptable. Including shipping and tuning, I paid a total of $625 for a board with a backward topsheet, and a damaged base. I also waited a total of 8 months from the time of my deposit for this. Now my only option is to pay more (for shipping) and wait another month. Unacceptable.

My Madd 170 arrived today. Unfortunately it has some quality issues. For starters, the topsheet was applied upside-down. Thus, the graphics and logo are backwards. Additionally, there are long, not very straight stripes running the length of the board. Additionally, I ordered the structure/tune. While most of the base looks great., there is an area near the nose that has been ground down to a light, rough spot???? I'll post pics. I emailed them, so we'll see what happens.

It's tiny in netscape as well.

I think it's actually called "ice blue" or blue ice or something along those lines. In person, it looks like a transparent aqua.

Patagonia used to make a capilene one piece. Anybody know of a company that makes a one piece now?

Like many other people here, I was curious about the Madd production status. The following is an email I received today about production.
Chris,
The boards will be in the states by the end of Sept. We are working on a letter now with details regarding grind and tune options and shipping info. Stay tuned....
