  1. Sorry Phil, don't get me wrong.... I'm with you. Here is my point. You and some others reacted to my question. I was trying to shake things up a little bit. We need that in the industry .... let's don't become the establisment.
  2. I love all you carvers and snowboard racers out there. This is way beyond my wildest dreams.!! We are in the Olympics....can you believe it? Hey guys..... don't be like the skiers when snowboarding first started...... (close minded)
  3. Yes, but carving semi-circles and half-pike landings are different functions. Would that not (at least) call for some variations in design?
  4. If the reason for the curve in the snowboard outline is related to carving semi-circles in the snow, then why do the snowboards designed for the Half-Pike competetions have that same design??
  5. Could you explain how you are getting the tail to slide. Are you putting alot of weight on back foot? and what is the rest of your body doing to initiate the slide at that point?
  6. Awesome Carving shots Bob!! It looks just like the "bottom Turn" in good waves. Any comment on the following?: In Snowboard Racing (especially on Ice), I have noticed the Tail of the Board Slips or Skids out of line.
  7. Great Analysis guys, thank you very much. I think you have pretty much nailed the answer. I have noticed that in snowboard racing the tail of the board slips or skids out of line alot. This seems to me to be also a factor that would contribute to slower race time. Any comments on that??
  8. Thank you everybody for your responses. I appreciate them very much and have read them all very carefully. Question: Take away the variables such as the poles, the individual skier expertize, the terrain, the snow conditions, etc. When you come out of a Gate and then need to make the most efficient turn for the next gate (I.E. least amount of time used), what is the advantage of 2-skis over the Snowboard?
  9. What is the main time loss factor from the first gate to the last gate?
  10. Love all you carvers and racers out there. Anybody know the approx. speed difference of snowboard vs. 2-skis. Slalom
  11. I will pay 100$ for your 183. Please contact me. Steve, stevejannsen81@hotmail.com or 909-699-2984.
