They are great boots. All Ratchets work fine, liners have plenty of molding capabilities. Not abused in any way at all. Small imperfections, but nothing beside normal wear.
Stiffness wise it's hard for me to say, being that these are the only pair of hard boots i've ever owned. I'll tell you that i'm 250lbs and can't move them all to much at all. They do provide some forward flexing obviously but really not much side to side.
Someone else step in that maybe has owned a couple different pair including these?

I don't have any answers for you but realized you are from MI. I go out to Mt. Holly usually on Thursdays. I have only been hard booting for a year or so and would like to have a fellow hardbooter to work with =).

What kind of angles would a 10 US be at on softies on something like this? I see the waist is around 250cm.

Hi,
I am new to Alpine (started last year) and I have a Axxess 183. I am a big guy 6' 260 but I feel like the Axxess is a bit large for the hills here in MIchigan, would this be a good change?

Well on my soft setup I am actually duck stanced, +30, -20 which is how I learned. This is why it has been difficult learning on hardboots because of the forward angles on the rear leg. I didn't have any knee issues though, we'll see how they feel down the road.
BTW: this was filmed on a GOproHD 1920X960 resolution.
