  1. Well, A Basin is opening tomorrow which means Loveland will open as soon as they possibly can - i.e. I bet tomorrow or Friday. Those two are always in competition to open first.

Lovey has announced (On Facebook) Friday for their opening day. :biggthump

  2. Wow...looks pretty good. Do you think they might try to open this weekend?

  3. Kind of surprising, sorry to hear that. I haven't been by there in a few years but when I started out they spent about 2 hours with me on picking out a hardboot. Bola and 2 other employees were there and they were super helpful and helped me get everything sorted out. When Bola has been out for the LCS and SES he has always been great to talk to get his advice on stuff.

I would definitely let Bola know what went down.

  4. Hi Michelle,

I go to Youtube and watch the Vid. then under the Vid. space is a share icon... push that and it highlights the Vid. Title, drag that onto your desktop like you would any photo or file and wallah

    you have it... :)

Softboot, unless my computer is different all you are doing is making a copy of the hyperlink onto your computer so you can go back to the youtube page. You are not making a copy of the actual video file.

  5. I'm looking through all these great you tube videos, and want to use a piece of something that is on youtube. Does anyone know what the copyright laws are? I hear if it's on the internet, it's free game which is why people watermark things.

If I can use stuff that's on youtube, does anyone know how to download a video from youtube to my computer? I'm assuming there's some software I have to buy, because there always is.

Don't know about the first part, but on the second part there is a firefox add-on called downloadhelper, install it and go to the page that you want to download the video, there is a little icon on the left side of the browser next to the home button, if you click on it you will get options to save the video file and at what quality.

  6. Seraph: gotcha, i got it that it was on Lemond's...

I just wish Lance could just step forward and admit he has been cheating all these years instead of pretending not...and also would like to see the newspapers that tried for years to destroy the anti dope labs reputation in order to protect the 'Master' reaction.... of course they will just turn their heels on Lance and call him a cheater and they knew it etc...

The system is pretty much ****ed up: Pro newspapers will not destroy the hand that feeds them ( advertising) by critizing the pro-rider they promote etc...the same **** happens in all specialized mags whatever the field they cover...

Lemond and Hinault were also, as most bikers from the 80's and up, full charged...Yes will check that 85-86 tour...always impressive to see what chemistry does to a body when done.

Welcome to the Desert of the Real.

  7. I think the evolution of the Lance case is just making me want to up this topic....(it looks my first "naughty" post was not far from reality....)

anyway summer's here almost, and the new doped teams are going to be rolling the tour in a month! Can't wait!

    N.

LOL, nice resurrection. BTW, just to clarify, if it isn't obvious, my comment was not in regards to Lance's innocence or guilt, but more to Lemond's demeanor.

And since we are back on this topic, if you ever have a chance to watch video of the 1985 and 1986 tour I recommend watching it. You will see Lemond and Hinault destroying the pack in the mountain stages by time differentials of 10 to 20 minutes. If that doesn't leave you questioning whether a guy like Lemond or Hinault would participate in questionable activities, well,......but Lemond never tested positive so by Lance's logic no one could ever question Lemond of doping either.

  8. I've been out sick the last few weeks and missed out on the great Lovey action. It looks like with the recent dumping up there that there might be some good riding to be had this week. Im thinking of Saturday to get at least one more day in this season, so anyone been up there recently, or if your going this week can you post and let us know if its still looking good?

    Danke!

  9. If it is, then a great majority of our PNW gas stations are in violation.

Some of the lowest price gas stations now refuse credit cards and only accept debt WITH a fee. Much like allot of cash machines. You are given an opt out at the time of purchase.

I think Square Up is another useful method of making transactions. I really only see it coming into play if for instance I am selling a snowboard to a local that would rather use his credit card to defer payment, pay on time or perhaps for security (not carrying cash and or knowing he has recourse with his cc company) It could also be handy if someone does not want to use Paypal and Does want to use their cc. The fees are just a bit higher than Paypal and if the buyer doesn't mind paying it. I would oblige if they were a BOL member of good standing. Seems useful and worth a try with no start up costs (which is why most folks do not have a cc provider)

They also provide services to track cash sales (no cost) for booking keeping purposes.

  10. No I have not heard of it.. but on a side note.. I went to Arco to get gas the other day -- usually use Chevron. Sign on the pump was "$.45 will be charged to your card" to use this pump with credit card so I left and got gas elsewhere.

I'm pretty sure that is a violation of the credit card companies agreement with the vendor.

  11. SO. i think the american dollar should be abolished, and y'all should be required to use the Euro (€) instead, like wot us civilised peoples do. :eplus2:

Yeah, because the attempted transition to the metric system went really well here too. BTW, there is plenty of snow still being dumped in the mountains of Colorado. :flamethro
