  1. Thanks to all of you who came out to ride, laugh, eat, & drink. I enjoyed showing you our trails. I also enjoyed the photo's with the commentary.

See you guy's and girl soon.

  2. I sent all of you an email. Please call me at threeOthreesixninesevensix nineseventhree if you need addtional directions.

Dustin, Glad that you and Shelly can join us.

Let me know if you want to start earlier than 9.

  3. It looks like it may be a nice cool day on Sunday. If everyone could get here by 8:45, we could leave on the ride around 9. We can do a 2 hour or a 3-4 hour ride.

After the ride, I will have the bbq on the patio. I plan to have brisket, rolls, slaw, beans, chips, and brownies. Please bring your drink of choice. I will try to have some extra beer available.

I plan on Pete, Mario, Ink, & David showing up. Please let me know if there are any additions or if you can't make it.

Looking forward to showing you the trails.

  4. Sorry that I need to reschedule the ride from this Sunday to the next Sunday. I hope this will work for everyone that was planning or the 23rd as well as for Ink that couldn't make it on the 23rd.

I just got offered a free condo in Steamboat this weekend, an offer that was hard to pass up. Also, it is supposed to be pretty hot this weekend, so I am hoping for cooler weather on the 30th.

Sorry for the change. I hope you all can make it on the 30th.

I was planning to buy the bbq stuff and beer and ask for donations to cover some of the cost. Please bring something else to drink if you don't want beer.

    Hope to see you then.

    Arne:(

  5. David, you are certainly welcome to join us. I will post directions and the time next week. I am thinking sometime around 8 or 9 on Sunday morning. Sorry Pete, I am not going at 6am in the dark.

Would everyone want to have a bbq lunch after?

    Regards,

    Arne

  6. It looks like this will be the best date for the ride. So far I plan on Pete, Ink, DT, & Mario attending. If anyone else is interested, please let me know.

    Thanks,

    Arne

  7. Yesterday, Pete joined me for a tour of our private trails at a location to be disclosed later. We had a good ride with an hour and a half of climbing and a half hour downhill ride. We were able to beat the rain showers, since you all know Pete likes to start early.

We thought it would be fun to have an LCI ride from my house one day this summer, maybe followed by a bbq. A Sunday would work best for me, since I have a part-time job on Saturday afternoons. Possible dates are August 2, 23, or 30.

Let me know what you think.

  8. The snow was still a bit soft for carving on hard boots Monday. I buried a heelside turn and sprained my wrist and shoulder. That along with my sore back and knee likely means that my season is over after day 75. It has been great riding with LCI this year. Looking forward to next year.

  9. Friday was great on the fat boards in the AM. Found Pete and Dr. Scott in the PM and rode the Nittro swallowtail till 4:15. Last run off the top of chair 4, got stuck on the top flat. The lifties headed down. One of the best runs ever down Blackjack. I knew if I fell, I may be spending the night there. Had to make every turn count.

Of course by this time I-70 was closed. Pete graciously offered a place to stay but I had a better offer from a female friend in Frisco.

Saturday morning was a late start due to the road closure, but I met up with Pete and Don after 10. The first tracks off 9 were incredible. The only was I could see was to follow the dark snow from the blasting on Patrol Bowl. Rode until 2 PM until it was time for lunch. Still untracked areas with the 40 inches of snow over the past two days.

Today Sunday is rest day. Hope to get a few last days of carving in this week before heading to the Texas gulf for windsurfing next week.

    Life is good! ;)

  10. Another great powder day with snow flurries, sun, and lots of snow. Not too many gapers except for the for the guy who ran into me because he never saw a swallow tail powder board and wanted a closer look as well as the girl who rode up the short catwalk from 2 to 6 and decided to stop and ride back down when I was blasting up it.

Put on the gps today, hit 49 mph in the pow and over 24 miles in distance.

The tunnel face and zip basin off 8 were great. The north chutes and trees off 4 also rocked.

  11. I measured 1 to 2 feet on chair 8. Also hit 9 when it opened later in the morning. The trees off 6 and the north chutes and trees off 4 were also great. It was a little dense in places but the skwals that I have on each foot worked well. Rode with Matt on a Duprez for a while . It was one of the better pow days of the year.

Tomorrow should be another great pow day on the Nittro Swallowtail with Tony.

Too bad some LCI members need to work.

  12. Dave,

It was nice to see you Sunday AM. The carving was great on Sunday! Unfortunately, I left Steamboat Sunday afternoon, hung out in Frisco long enough to get to drive back to Morrison in the snow.

The semi in the middle lane of the westbound tunnel approach that was stuck without chains and the mini van with bald tires next to him should be beaten severely.

Looks like more snow this week..

  13. Bill,

I thought the burner would have been a nice addition to your burner collection. It was hard to sell that board, but after riding your metal burner and my virus, it was a little easier.

Actually the wife was ok with the Virus, as long as I put up the other 4 boards for sale.

Have a great summer. Hope to see you next winter.

    Regards,

    Arne
