  1. Circa early/mid 90s Oxygen Dangerous 170cm taken care of well.
Original graphics are of a snarling doberman, but when I purchased her used,
I was in my neon yellow phase and painted her with Krylon lacquer paint with quite a few clear coats.

Before storing, she had a  beveled tune from Edgeworks and still has storage wax on her.

She was my main board for many years, being extremely quick edge to edge, but after many happy trails
down Loveland, she has become a bit noodley.

Would be an awesome 1st carving board for someone to learn on especially if they were on the lighter side.

With heart issues, I really can't ride any more..which SUCKS!

Priced at only $40 and PICKUP ONLY in metro Denver, CO.

Text me to come take a look: 720-309-6612
    I-25/120th Northglenn Thornton area.

  2. I still have the board, but since a heart attack that sent me to the very peaceful dark side in 2012 (they brought me back) I haven't ridden at all. That fire is just no longer there. ☹ If anyone wants her, I would be willing to part with her for free. Local Denver pickup only. 173 cm. Charlesindenver@gmail.com

  3. I MAY be heading up to make some turns tomorrow and quaff a couple of sparkling beverages in the pub in between.

First time this season. (Been a rough year financially) But, it IS my birthday (59)...the wife and kids will just have to understand, eh?

Trying to score a cheap, Craigslist ticket.....Anyone else making it up?

I have Blax step-ins and the cable just snapped from the T, so do you have pic's of these blax bindings or rather the part which goes on the boot? I figure I can get a brake or derailer cable from a bike store to replace, but who know's, better to retro fit these parts???

Please send pic's if you have any.

    Thanks..:eplus2:

Man, that was so long ago. I barely remember them. I am sure I deleted any pics from my HD to free up space long ago. But being a cyclist myself, I imagine you may be able to "rig" a derailleur cable to work.

Just have to figure out how to secure it.

Brian S. or Billy or maybe even Fin might be able to help? Best of luck with your search.

  6. Friday was another great day at Lovey! ALGUNDERFOOT, Arneburner and myself enjoyed a morning of sunshine, firm snow and wide-open slopes, since Monday was a holiday and there were very few ski-racers in attendance! With the exception of only one true ice-patch near the bottom of Roulette, the runs were nice and grippy early, until the cover scraped off, then it was a little dicey in places! Called it about 11:00am and the main lot was only1/2 full!

Al, it was a pleasure meeting and making turns with you, sir! Let's do it again soon!

Also, Drifter and Fire Cut are open as of today, but not showing as groomed... and don't forget, 4-pack lift tickets are only available until Nov 24th for you occasional visitors!

    tomorrow...

    James

James, you old relic... :freak3: I probably can't make it up til after the holidays this year.

Sounds like things are looking up for you since last we spoke.

  7. I am definitely planning on heading up for closing day. (and maybe THIS Sunday...we'll $ee) Apparently the mini-gut I've acquired since my hospital trip last August makes it very hard to get in and out of my plates, so until I get rid of the bloated gut, it's gonna be the Switch stepins and the all mtn/pow board. <p>

Besides,...I owe Don a sparkling beverage ...or two....:biggthump

  8. Don, if you're gonna show, then I will definitely be there! Already got the wife to cover for baby duty on Sunday.

I found a Scott 168 pow board I'm dying to try on the snow cat if it's still running..

If I can't find a cheap tkt on CL, I will hit you up.

What's a good number to reach you? Use my email here or denversnowcarver@gmail.com

  9. James, et al,....I broke my smartphone last Friday. Warranty replacement won't be here til next Tuesday.

Gonna try to hit the hill again this Sunday 3/31. You up for the trek? Ink, you still got those 4 paks up for grabs?

Best way to contact me til then is my email through here.

  10. Circa 1995 after I closed my own all-used snowboard shop, I bought up whatever new alpine boards I could find from the Denver retail board shops.

Since alpine was declining, I was able to pick up carving boards extremely cheap.

I was lucky enough to find 2 NEW Sims 197 Burners at Colorado Ski n' Golf for $25 EACH!

I kept one for myself and sold the other one to Doug Dryer for a ridiculously cheap price (wonder if Doug still has it).

Am sure it was pretty funny seeing this midget with a board twice my size heading up to the ticket window.

I am only 5'3" and at that time I weighed about 135 lbs. and the 197 Burner fully handed my *ss to me.

I was able to turn her competently but it was like a retarded monkey trying to pilot a top fuel dragster.

No WAY was I man enough to get the most that she had to offer.

So, I swallowed my pride and sold her to Bola @ All Board Sports in Boulder, CO for a similarly ridiculously low price. (For good karma points)

    Do I miss her,...you betchya. :1luvu:

  11. Am sure I'm gonna be beat down on this one, but being a parent, I PERSONALLY believe it's iresponsible to refuse to use a leash that could conceivably

save another person or a child from being disabled or killed by <b>especially</b> a rocketing, knife edged race board.

To make the decision to ignore that <i>"what if"</i> possibility just sets a BAD example to younger up and coming carvers.

Snowboarding does NOT need another black eye, especially by us suposedly, "more mature" riders. <br>It would SUCK to hear ski areas ban us all together.

We all know that's not going to happen, but again, it's the <i> "what if" </i> mindset.<p><p>Granted, world cup racers are not required to wear leashes, as that is a controlled race course and a loose board just doesn't happen, but the rest of us recreational carvers should be responsible, as there are innocent bystanders all around us on the mountain and we are responsible for controlling the potentially lethal projectiles under our feet.<p>

A good friend who is now a chief of police taught me that <i>"Always expect the unexpected"</i> awareness and it has literally saved my life more than once while driving.
