  1. 11 runs 8 groomed.

    snow was nice and dry.

    some wind blow powder stashes.

lots of bare spots and rocks. now i need remember where i put that p-tex.

cold as a witches uh you know.

got to use new boots, a bit stiff but then again with the temps as low as

i was a bit stiff or is it the age creeping in.

  2. The following dates for the TOYOTA Ski Free Fridays are:

    Silver Mountain - January 23th, 2009

    Schweitzer Mountain - January 30th, 2008

    Mt. Spokane - February 6th, 2009

    Lookout Pass - February 20th, 2009

    49 Degrees North - February 27th, 2009

Schweitzer and Lookout Pass are the days I planned days off.

The other days if work permits.

  3. I have the 172 skunk ape with the wavy sides.

Rode two days soft set up. not bad but still not what I was expecting.

Rode three days with hardboots. One day was great. Conditions where mashed potatoes. Had fun in that stuff. On the cat tracks board keep trying to catch an edge. Turning was ok. Deep powder it :barf:

Still would rather ride the 15 year old litagator.

Anyone want to buy the skunk Ape.

  4. looking forward to making the toyota ski free fridays also.

saw the reminder too get your season pass mailing for silver mt.

they said the la nina is back. So we should have a wetter and colder winter.

I have one trip planned to Red Mountain too. how do you speak canadian??

  5. that the dates say 08 but

those are the posted dates for the ski free toyota days.

got that off the ski-inland northwest website.

last time I check the site they hadn't posted any dates.

I guess I should have read a little bit slower.

Now I have got to back peddle at work, gave them the wrong dates

    for time off. opps

  6. Cateks worked great. love them.

Rode the skunk works and had one good day on it. Rest not so good.

Selling the board at the start of the season.

Just bought new boots for bomber. Can't wait to get them fitted.

The winter stick came alive this last season with the hardboots and bindings. It's unbelievable how much of an improvement those two things made on that broad.

Hey, as I was reading so posts and I noticed that you have so old bindings that fit a five hole pattern. Do you still have them? And do you think they would fit on an old nitro? I could get a pic of the hole pattern too you just to make sure. If they fit and you don't need them I will find away to get them.

  7. anyone up for for this.

  8. Rode at 49n on saturday.

Board - 172 lib tech skunk ape with magne tracktion.

    Bindings - CATEK

    Boots - 123 Raichle

first two runs. I was thinking I had made a mistake in buying the board.

stopped at the bottom of the chair lift. Took out my tools and made some adjustments. Man I love those CATEKs

Next run board, bindings and boots worked just the way I had hoped.

    Legs where tried by noon.

Hey Steve P thanks for the advice. It has helped.

b0ardski, going to try and get another trip up to Schwietzer.

not sure when but going to try. Would love to ride trees and steeps.

better to be off piste than pisted on.

Next thing is going to be new boots and another set of bindings for the other board.

  9. not going to be able to take friday off.

    will be up on sat.

49n is not much of a carving moutain. some good runs but nothing like Schweitzer.

chair 4 is where I like to ride. trees spaced out pretty good.

chair 5 has some good carving runs.

chairs are slow so bring a book.

    anyone going up on sat.?

  10. Just bought new binding, should be here Wed. I got the Catek os2.

Money has now became very tight. I have been riding at 49n on weekends. Work has picked up, not sure if I can get weekdays off.

Update about me and riding with hardboots.

Love it. Rode half day on Sat. boots are great.

Steve thanks again for the tips. I have noticed that I now get burns closer to the edge. Meaning I am ridding more on edge.

Better turns more control make gus a happy gus.

    Next Sat. up at 49n.

  11. Great day riding. b0ardski, steve, and tool can. Great bunch of guys.

Schweizer top five in my book.

b0ardski and steve thanks for the tips.

b0ardski thanks again for showing us around and the pizza.

If you make it over to 49 some weekend lunch is on me.

After riding all day and really getting some good turns in hardboots, softboots up for sell. Just need to get better binding and Iam set.

    Hardboots are the ticket.

  12. Sounds good.

49n today was fun. Started out skiing with daughter.

Fifth time on skis (was ugly).

After lunch put boots on and boarded. Hardboots rock. Didn't get to test them out, much more than a couple of turn in front daughter. Definitely going the way of the hardbooter. Now that means I will be needing better bindings. Burton rat traps good for starting, and thats it.

    Friday should be fun.
