  1. For anyone heading up this weekend, a friendly road update from my buds at patrol:

    <><><><><> Weekend Update…..

Weather or not you go up this weekend, weather is expected. Be advised the roads by Bolder Bay are being resurfaced and delays should be expected. (up to an hour +) Construction will be ongoing over the weekend. You are advised to use HWY 38 through Redlands, Lucern Valley, or cutoff to Fawnskin at the damn if you have to come up 330.

This is the first I have heard about this. Hope I save some one some time and frustration! :biggthump

  2. Hey kinjachris! I'm that patrol guy you met last year. :) Glad to see you found the site. Now you need to follow the ride board and hook-up with the rest of us socal riders. I will be patrolling at Summit again this year, but mostly on Saturdays. Tried to keep my Sundays open for hanging out with my bros.

On the board issue, if you want to step up to titinal, I know that Hopster will be selling his Coiler Pure Race Titinal. He is a rider out of San Diego. Is absolutely meticulous about his boards. I might be selling my Colier All Mountain Titinal soon also. I believe that both of our boards are 179 in length, 20 cm wide, and built for the 180-200 pound rider. Not sure if that firs you, but the Coilers with metal are amazing to ride.

Look forward to seeing you on the hill this year, welcome back! :biggthump

  3. Hey now, Big Bear aint so bad. Its not hero snow very often, but the grooming is good. From Phoenix to Snow Summit is just under 6 hours. All easy driving on the 10 fwy, except for the last 50 minutes of mountain driving. Several of us spend quite a bit of time carving it up here locally! Last year was awesome. Just sayin, closer counts for a lot. ;)

  4. I am struggling with this decision right now. I have had an iphone 3g for two years and had no trouble with it at all. I am probably very fortunate to live in an area that is very well supported for the att network. I live about an hour east of LA, so I benefit from that large population center without having to actually live in it!

My wife is also in the market for a new smart phone. This will be the first one for her. It is down to the incredible or a new iphone 4. My one beef with the iphone is the lack of voice integration. Seems to me to be more a matter of software, not hardware. So I hope to see it very soon. I think it would be so cool to do video calls to each other. Love to see every one trying so hard to innovate and beat the other guy to the market place with the latest greatest device.

  5. Thanks for having us up. I was happy I was able to see every one, even though I was late. Here is that video I was talking about:

    <embed id=VideoPlayback src=http://video.google.com/googleplayer.swf?docid=-1734472502795274450&hl=en&fs=true style=width:400px;height:326px allowFullScreen=true allowScriptAccess=always type=application/x-shockwave-flash> </embed>

Hope this works, it is the first time I have embeded a video.

  6. I would like to come hang with you guys, but I am committed to be at Summit for the day. I plan on working chair 7 for any one who doesn't want to hit bear. My only problem is that I probably can't get out before 4:30. How long do you all think you will be going strong on Sunday?

  7. You might be surprised. As the weather heats up, the ticket sales start to drop dramatically. Matter of fact, that will probably be what closes the resort this year as opposed to lack of snow. This last Saturday was much slower than it has been. Sunday felt like a weekday. You never know ......
